I’ve been culling this list for months. Reading, listening, thinking, deliberating.
Finally, I’ve got it pinned down! I’m excited to share my top 16 resources with you. The books, TED talks, podcasts, and blogs that have made the biggest impact on me—and what I love about each.
How about a little teaser?
A TED talk that will make you want to infuse your child’s life with more mystery and wonder,
A podcast so good it’s the first thing you listen to every Wednesday morning…
A book that will without a doubt change the way you see yourself, your loved ones, and the world…
And a blog that will permanently solve your problem of what to read next. 🙂
4 Books | 4 TED Talks | 4 Podcasts | 4 Blogs

I love the sound of this, Erica! Can’t wait to read it.

Thanks, Anne! I’m gonna want to hear how many of the sixteen you’ve read or seen! I bet it’s pretty high! And I think one of the blogs will be prettttty familiar. 😉
Love your work!

It’s always so fascinating to see what resources shape another person! What a fun idea to share this with your readers. (visiting from We are That Family)

Hi Erica-
I found this link on Pinterest and signed up for your newsletter. I was wondering if it would be possible to get this list sent to me.
Thanks!
Erica Layne
Yes, Amy! Sorry about that. I currently have it going out with each edition of the newsletter, which is just quarterly. I need to figure out how to automate it. 🙂 Anyway, thanks so much for asking! I’m going to email it to you right now. 🙂
Amy
Please may I have the list emailed to me too?
Like the Amy before me I’ve just subscribed from a Pinterest link and am intrigued!
Thank you
Erica Layne
Yes! The next edition of the newsletter is due out soon, but I’m happy to email you think link. Thanks for signing up!
Sending it right now!

Hi there, I like your posts but they seem to be largely directed at women with children (I can’t have kids because of a disability, I find it hard to still feel like a woman when I read that stuff)… Will there be content in the resources for people like me or will it be mom-focused?
Erica Layne
Hi Hev! I hope you feel like a woman no matter what you read, especially here at Let Why Lead. Many best wishes to you.
A lot of my content is mom-focused just because that is the stage of life I happen to be in, and I write from what I know.
BUT I do believe greatly in developing ourselves as women (in addition to mothers or wives or whatever roles we play), so I think you’ll find a lot of applicable content here, like my series on self-love (https://ericalayne.co/2015/09/introducing-31-days-to-radical-self-love.html) and much of my writing on wholehearted living (https://ericalayne.co/category/wholehearted-living).
I hope you find something to enjoy!
Meghan
Would you mind emailing me this list too? I’ve just signed up for your email list and have had this saved from Pinterest for weeks!
Thank you! Your blog is great and really speaks to me.
