I recently came across this quote by C.S. Lewis. I love the idea that there are no ordinary people, that none of us truly recognize our own worth. But I especially love its application to our children. Taking a moment to look at my stubborn three-year-old as a future force for good in the world—one of God’s very best creations—puts everything into perspective.
Now if only I could see them this way all the time!

I love C.S. Lewis. And, I too, wish I could see my boys this way all the time. Thanks for the reminder. Kristen

I always try to remember that I am molding the person I want him to be. What he does with his future will say a lot about how I guided, disciplined, and loved him.

I agree. That’s an intimidating thought, isn’t it? But it’s motivating, too!

Wow! You made my day! I want to remember that quote when I face my class of 31 second graders and try to mold them unto a new community of learners!!!
