I’ve been working on adding favorite photos and quotes to the inspiration board over my desk. (I’m aiming to share on Friday!) Though it is a concept I have heard before, the moment I read these words in a beautiful post written by the Gypsy Mama, I knew I had to have them on my inspiration board. She describes what we do as mothers—the mundane, inescapable but important moments—and addresses those of us who sometimes have to look hard to finding meaning in it all:
“You are the change. You are the difference. You are the art emerging from the hunk of dull marble. You are the deeper meaning you’re looking for. You are becoming a mother. And mothers are made not born.” – Lisa-Jo, the Gypsy Mama
I quickly got to work in designing something simple but pretty for my board, and this is what I came up with. Those pearls at the bottom are to remind me that something amazing will come out of all this hard work!
If you could benefit from the same reminder, you’re welcome to download the peach version by clicking here. For the robin’s egg blue version, click here. (It’s quick and easy!)
I am grateful for the opportunity I have to BECOME someone by being the mother my children need.

This is such a great sentiment…and perfect right before Mother’s Day. Thanks for the printable. 🙂

Thanks, Karah! I hadn’t even thought of it in relation to Mother’s Day, but you’re right!

Erica,
Thank you so much for your comment on Family Volley about “How to be a Fun Mom”. Loved it. And, I love the printable. Can’t wait to see your inspiration board.

That was a helpful quote–just what I needed to hear!
