Calling all the mamas who’ve spent the year decluttering and don’t want to fill their homes (or anyone else’s!) back up with junk this holiday season!
If you’re a minimalist-minded woman who needs a gift list to send to her partner (๐๐), this is it!
If you’re a maximalist who happens to love a minimalist (maybe it’s your daughter, your sister-in-law, your child’s teacher…), this is it!
While some of the things on this list will take up a bit of space in the house, I focused on items that are practical, consumable, meaningful, or just plain worth it! I own and frequently use almost everything on this list. ๐ I hope it’s helpful!
Affiliate links are included at no cost to you, and if I share a coupon code, it’s because I own & adore the productโand *sought out* a discount code for our community. ๐
Consumables
Flowers or a Flower Subscription! I think it’s something about the fact that you KNOW they’re temporary that makes flowers so precious while you have them. ๐ I recently bought myself the Margot bouquet from Urban Stemsโit’s gorgeous! Urban Stems also has subscriptions. Can you imagine a better Christmas gift than a year of flower deliveries?! DREAMY. Use this link for $20 off your order!
Houseplant Fertilizer! I may not own thaaaaaat much stuff, but I do own 28 houseplants and owe their healthy gorgeousness to Plant Food! What’s Plant Food? Plant Food is idiot-proof houseplant fertilizer (๐) developed by a fellow mom and local friend of mine, @happyhappyhouseplant. (You’d love her!) All you have to do is add a dropper to your watering can every time you water. (See what I mean? Idiot proof! ๐) I also use her Death Drops (this product kills fungus gnats) and Neem Oil, and the bottles are so pretty that I actually display them in a glass-front cabinet in my living room! Use code ERICALAYNE for 10% off your order!
Audible Credits: This might be my favorite idea on the list! Do you love an audiobook junkie? It’s actually really easy to gift Audible credits! You can gift anything from 1 to 12 credits!
Credits or Cash Toward a Service She Already Uses! Does your gift recipient have a membership at a local med spa, massage therapist, or chiropractor? Does she get her lashes filled or her nails done on the regular? If you know the name of a business she frequents, you can call and put money on her account. (My cousin was recently gifted $100 to the aesthetics office she goes to, and not only was she touched by not only the thoughtfulness of the gift, she was DELIGHTED that she didn’t even have to keep track of a gift card, as the cash was already allocated to her account!)
Shower Steamers: Looooove these! Toss one on the shower floor and enjoy the spa-like scent as it slowly dissolves. ๐ค
Shampoo & Conditioner: This may seem like a boring gift, but give me a woman who wouldn’t happily accept salon-grade shampoo for Christmas! I use and love Pureology Hydrate (here it is on Amazon) because my hair always needs moisture. ๐ I can sometimes snag it on sale directly from Pureology.
Hyaluronic Acid Serum: An essential step in any woman’s nightly skincare routine! I love this one by CeraVe and this one by Ordinary. (Both are GREAT skincare brands for reasonable prices.)
Home Decor & Organization
Tape Lights: While you typically see LED tape lighting used under cabinets, I love the idea of taping it beneath your bed, behind your headboard, behind a console table, or even behind a sofa that sits against a wall. In the winter, I’m always looking for ways to add extra coziness to the room, and these lights (which are remote-control operated and can range from cool to warm) would be perfect for those winter hygge vibes. ๐
Salt Lamp: I’m a sucker for a good salt lamp! The inviting glow, the negative ions, the respiratory benefits (okay, TBH, I’m mostly in it for the pretty glow)… I love the white color (and 5K reviews!) of this one; this one is the closest to the one I own; and ooooh(!), I’m very into the modern vibe of this one!
Acrylic Makeup Organizer: I use this for make-up and love it, but I especially appreciate its versatility. It could be used to hold art supplies, card games, gift-wrapping bits and pieces, nail care, seasoning packetsโso many things! This one is also great and has more of the smaller compartments, if you prefer that. I also have this one (it’s not tiered, like the other two) in my bathroom vanity drawer. ๐
Small-Space Organizer: While we’re talking about organizers, this one was of my best discoveries in 2024! I adhered mine to the side of my bathroom vanity, and now it permanently holds my hairbrush, hairspray, and flat iron (I showed it in this reel). I also have one on the side of our washer, holding bottles of stain treatments and wrinkle release. ๐
Lola Blankets: We have one of these in almost every room of our house, because they’re just that good! They’re stretchy, insanely soft, they come in beautiful colors, and they don’t shed or pill! (Just be sure you follow the washing & drying instructions.) Ultimate nervous system regulation? โ โ Wrapping yourself in one of these babies and sipping a hot drink! This link will get you 35% off your order (35%!), or use code ERICALAYNE at checkout!
Fresh Towels: You really can’t go wrong giving someone a fresh set of white towels! Choosing a color for someone? That’s a bit dangerous, but white is safe and… spa-like. ๐ I love this 6-piece set on Amazon because they’re absorbent and quick-drying, and the bit of ribbing adds visual interest without being busy.
Self-Care & Longevity
Castor Oil Pack: Clearly the most glamorous thing on this list! Support your liver and your lymphatic system by using this baby a few times a week. (I recently sent this one to my sister-in-law, who’s been having intense cramps every month. She reported that using it did make a difference! ๐)
Curlband: Beautiful heatless curls every time! I love this band from Cozy Confidence for my daughter because it doesn’t have a wire in it and it lays pretty flat against the head, so it’s not uncomfortable. She sleeps on it so well! *My* hair is a bit short for curlbands, but if your hair is below your shoulders, you’ll be set. Use code ERICALAYNE to save some $.
Weighted Vest: Take your daily walk up a notch by adding a bit of resistance! This is the one I have and use. ๐
Dry Brush: More support for that lymphatic system! This set, which I try to use a few times a week, is beautiful, versatile, and inexpensive!
Keepsakes
Indigo Row: If you’ve never heard of Indigo Row, I’m THRILLED to introduce you. It’s a small, Utah-based company that makes custom birthstone jewelry from raw stones. Your stones could represent your birthday, your anniversary, your kids’ births, anything significant to you. And their designs are DROOL-WORTHY!
Made by Mary: This brand makes the most beautiful, meaningful, long-lasting jewelry! For YEARS I wore a necklace with three vertical bars (one with each of my kids’ initials), before I finally (tragically!) lost it while traveling. I just recently bought a vertical bar and had it engraved with the number 40 (I turn 40 in January!) and am pairing it with Made by Mary’s star charm to represent being my brightest, fullest self in my forties. ๐คฉ This link will automatically give you 10% off your order, OR use code ERICA10. Enjoy!
What on this list caught your eye? And if you could add something to it (something minimalist-friendly!), what would you add? I’d love to hear!
