We were making a right turn onto a one-lane highway in Half Moon Bay when he said it.
We had three kids (whom we sometimes can’t believe are ours) filling the row behind us, and I had my arms folded (tellingly) in the passenger seat.

After eight years, that is a sign of marital progress.
