1. We live in a beautiful place. When I get discouraged about how hard it is to settle down in the Bay area (because of the insane real estate market), it always helps to get out and explore. We had a pretty glorious March, so we really lived it up on the weekends. (You should come visit me!)
2. 10 motherhood guilt trips I should kiss goodbye. (I recently discovered this blog, the Abundant Mama, and am loving it so far.)
3. THIS is the right height for front loading machines. And apparently a lot of y’all agree, since this image got repinned in a hurry. (Why do I have such an aversion to bending over??)
3. Church can really wipe a girl out. And her mama. Three hours in a quiet environment with a busy, busy one-year-old? But I don’t really mind, because I like hanging out with her. 🙂
4. The state of my house is directly related to the state of my mind and heart. How many times do I need to learn that when I’m overwhelmed—or for that matter, underwhelmed—with my life, the best thing I can do to pull myself out of it is clean. Crossing items off my to-do list, taming the laundry piles, sweeping the floors, wiping the bathrooms—it all helps me calm whatever is swirling inside.
5. Getting back on the wagon (aka starting to exercise again) feels so good! I’m trying T25, which is basically a 25-minute version of Insanity. It is the perfect length for a busy mom, my kids enjoy participating (or, hilariously, trying to), and it really gets me breathing hard!
Side note: It turns out Quinn takes exercise very seriously. Here she is getting low with Shaun T!
7. The second round of the Marriage Diaries is going to be fun! And meaningful. I’ll be kicking it off next Wednesday, so be sure to come back by. (And for an easy way to follow along, try the Marriage Diaries pinterest board.)
You all have some good spring fun this weekend!

#4…so me. I can’t feel at peace until my home is in order. I have been doing t25 and love it…what do you think? That is also a beautiful photo!! I have friends who live there and they rent and it is CRAZY. Must be worth it! 🙂

That washer/dryer set up is amazing! I’m super short, so front loaders on the ground aren’t usually a problem for me, but being able to see what you are doing would definitely be advantageous.

I have heard of T25! That sounds fun and like the perfect amount of exercise time.
I wish I could come visit you and go to those beautiful places with you!

I’m very much looking forward to the next installment of the Marriage Diaries. Those are some of my favorite posts. I’m checking out Abundant Mama right after I finish typing this out. Have a great weekend!

My husband is directly affected by the state of our home. So that I one way I can intentionally show him love, by keeping the house in order!

Oh I needed to read #4 so bad. Thanks for sharing with us, I love these posts

I love this post!! And admire you massively for doing any form of insanity.. I tried it once, and well it’s not happened again since! Your blog is so uplifting and positive, so happy I’ve stumbled across it 🙂

Hi Hannah! Yeah, the real insanity real is insane. But T25 is much more doable (and fun!) at 25 minutes. Speaking of which, I need to get back on it!
Thanks for the sweet words about my blog! I hope you’ll stick around!
