Let Why Lead has taken a bit slower of a pace for the last few months for one main, happy reason: We’re expecting!
Baby #3 will arrive in March. I’m feeling great now that I’m in the second trimester. I’m extremely lucky not to get much morning sickness, but I was pretty well wiped out for the first few months. (Nap please!)
The boys are excited to get a new sibling, and I regularly get to hear Chase, our 2 1/2-year-old, saying “I wuv oo, baby!”
For weeks Trenton has insisted that the baby was a girl; Chase has insisted it was a boy. Ryan and I were totally mentally prepping for a third boy, but to our shock, we found out yesterday that this baby is a . . .
GIRL!
It is still sinking in for me, and I am both thrilled and terrified to enter girl territory (but mostly thrilled!).
Every time the ultrasound tech referred to our baby as a “she,” I felt a little jolt go through me. I’ve become so accustomed to boys, and I love my little men so much, but I am also so grateful I’ll get the chance to do both.
