I’d been needing this kind of a weekend. I know it’s a bit late to be sharing these with you—it being a Tuesday and all. But at the moment, I’d rather just stare at the pictures and imagine I’m still there. 🙂
(Btw, in the photo above, that is Trenton’s bum in the distance. He’s bending down to pick up a cheeto bag someone had littered. Just a little reality for ya, amid all the prettiness. 🙂
Ryan’s brother and his girlfriend flew into town for the weekend. The boys mountain biked, the girls shopped, we hiked to the top of our own mountain and flew dueling kites. We talked till late, ate rice krispie treats, and got up good and early (because in an apartment with four adults and three kids, no one was sleeping in!). At one point, there was even a giant remote-controlled shark flying around.
(Shark attack!)
It was perfection. It’s the one good thing about living away from family: when they come, time is like gold.
Now which of our family and friends can we recruit next?
Nat
These photos are GORGEOUS Ek! How about we export your sweet little family to Oregon for a few days next week? CAN’T WAIT TO SEE YOU. xo.

Thanks, Nat! I cannot wait!! I would say I’m beside myself with excitement, but then I remember that you must REALLY be beside yourself with excitement! (You’re getting hitched!) Good luck with the final preparations, and try not to stress!

Looks like y’all had an amazing weekend! I need one of those weekends badly.
Erica - Let Why Lead
I hope you get one soon, Ashley! These are rare for us too, which I guess is one more reason they feel like GOLD when they come. Hugs!
