I am passionate about filling my home with things that remind our family of our values and priorities. Seeing inspiring words and art day after day helps me become the woman I so want to be. I don’t know about you, but I am very easily sidetracked by shiny things…a new pair of wedges, an iron advent calendar from Pottery Barn (which I still might just buy!), new OPI nailpolish… Keeping myself grounded in a world of blogs and pinterest can be a challenge(!), but I do have complete control over the things on my walls—which I see a hundred times a day.
And even though they’re very young, I hope what is on our walls will have the same impact on my children as they grow.
I’m slowly starting to collect items for a revamped gallery wall in my entry/dining area. Just for fun, I’m posting my current etsy favorites. If I actually take the plunge and purchase any of these, I’ll let you know!
A little San Francisco love… via
I’m a sucker for any quotes about changing the world! via
I’m smitten with this girl’s art. It is a fantastic marriage of words, images, playfulness, and meaning. via (And all her prints are 25% off for the holidays.)
This quote is me to a T, as evidenced by the fact that my three-year-old boy is constantly pointing out “beautiful things” to me. (“Isn’t my red scooter bootiful, Mom?”)
