When I was younger, I would never have called myself a “creative person.”
I always knew I wanted to write, and I was always drawn to flowers, interior design, and architecture. But because I couldn’t paint or draw, I thought I wasn’t “creative.”
I’m SO glad that my definition of creativity has evolved since then.
When Ashley and Abbigail, co-hosts of the fantastic Chasing Creative podcast, asked if I wanted to record an episode, I was thrilled to dive into this subject with them.
Creativity isn’t a topic I’ve explored very much in my writing, but I quickly realized how passionate I am about it! It was so fun to talk about something off my beaten path… although in the end, I think it came out with a leaning that is so typical of me, hence the episode’s title: Intentional Creativity. 🙂
Long story short: feel free to pop over and give it a listen!
Also, I’ve shared them on Facebook, but in the last couple of months I’ve recorded two other podcast episodes. If you’d like to catch them, here they are:
Crafting a Family Purpose Statement, A Mom’s Mission Field
Why Knowing Your Why Is Essential, Amplify Your Life
PS. EVERYone dislikes the sound of their recorded voice, right??
You are great at recording those podcasts! Well done. I never considered myself creative either but I agree that I see that I am now in my way. 🙂
Thanks, Rach! And yes, I definitely think you are a creative! Between home decor and baking and crafting—and probably even more hobbies I don’t even know about—you’ve got it. I think it’s liberating to think of yourself as a creative. It just makes you feel a bit more ALIVE.
I really enjoyed listening to the podcast, Erica! It’s so interesting to hear about other people’s motivations, work habits, and perspectives on running a creative business. Thanks for giving us a glimpse into your process!
Thank you so much, Evie! I’m so thrilled and grateful that you gave it a listen!
Cool- I’m adding these to my list to listen to, hopefully soon 🙂
