The best of the last week:
- Chase’s move to the toddler bed! Even though it involved silently redirecting him back to the bed at least thirty times over the course of the week, my heart still swells when my kids reach a milestone.
- Banana Republic’s friends & family sale – 50% off five items! I think I am going to have to pop over there this weekend.
The worst of last week:
- A week of straight rain.
- A visit to the dentist.
- A new jute rug for the living room that just doesn’t go. (Oh well!)
- And the ultimate worst – Hours spent on the phone wading through California bureaucracy and enough trips to the DMV that Trenton knows that place by name!
I admit I am happy to see this week go. Hopefully next week my bests will outnumber my worsts!
What were your bests and worsts this week?
Check back in Monday to see my craigslist piano makeover!

Congrats on the toddler bed transition! I remember seeing Super Nanny years ago, where she taught the parent to silently take the kid back to bed (or time out, or whatever) over and over. It really stuck with me and I do the same thing and it works…eventually. 🙂
Oh dear – Banana Republic sale? Tempting…

The DMV is not fun! The DMV with kids is worse!
My kids did not have school this week and I loved having them around all day, plus we had beautiful weather!

The toddler bed transition was terrible for us (never mind the major move at the same time)
My best was having my family visit (mom, dad, brothers and sister in law), and getting out and doing things with them.
My worst was having a really sick 2 year old, combined with extreme lack of sleep, and a trip to the ER today. Luckily he has meds now, so it can only go up from here.
This is a good idea, and I loved reading your bests and worsts.
