I’ve been wanting to bring plants into our home for ages. I am constantly buying cheap flowers or clipping greenery from outside, but I have not had much success keeping living things living (aside from my children, thank goodness!). Last summer I even got all fired up and researched which indoor plants are the best for improving air quality. Unfortunately, my research overwhelmed me and I decided to open the windows more instead. 🙂
That did the trick until the Nester launched a great series on using plants in the home, and my fire was rekindled. But this time, rather than overthinking it, I headed to the nearest nursery and let my boys pick out a few tiny succulents. We planted them at home with some leftover potting soil, and the whole project was finished in an hour!
Beautiful, aren’t they?
I think they are pleased as punch with their new home beside my bed.
Sometimes, baby steps are all you need.
Are you taking any baby steps this week?

Erica, I am not good at keeping plants alive either, but yours looks so nice! Maybe I should revisit this. I just forget to water them! What type of plant is this? Also, your bedroom is so pretty!!

I love succulents! I have a few left over from my wedding and they are in each of the bathrooms, and I really hardly ever water them.

Yay! Naturally, your bouquet is what inspired me! I thought of you so much when the boys and I were working on this little project. Can’t wait to see you this summer!

I like your new plants! I think live plants add a lot to a home.
