I would love to spruce up my house for Easter, but so many of the Easter decorations I see are just not me. As far as Easter decorations go, I come from a long line of bunny lovers, and as much as I feel like I am betraying the family by saying it(!), I am not one. So today I thought I’d share my findings from my search for non-fru fru Easter decor.
Something to Make…
This embroidery hoop turned out beautifully. If you’re feeling crafty, head over to Silhouette Blog for a tutorial.
And if you’re more likely to get on board with something a bit less labor-intensive (that’s me!), check out Sarah’s simple and inexpensive Scrap Fabric Easter Egg Garland, over at Dwell on Joy. Super cute.
Something to Buy…
Pottery barn’s speckled egg vase filler would look great in a basket or vase I already own.
I’ve always wanted a gorgeous, thick lavender wreath. This one from Williams-Sonoma would fit the bill!
Though I love them, I have yet to get on the banner train. Maybe now is a good time to hop on! {via Etsy seller BluePearls}
Aside from bunnies and eggs, what says Easter better than tulips?? I love this photo and would be delighted to add it to my home every spring.
Something to Assemble…
If you need some inspiration for your Easter table, definitely hop over to Jones Design Company to see more of the table below, as well as several other beauties.
Just to clarify, it’s not that I hate all Easter bunny decor —not at all. For Easter weekend itself, I actually wouldn’t mind throwing a few bunnies into the mix. But I definitely wouldn’t be able to stand them for all of spring. I think I could get more mileage out of the decorations above. Bring on spring!

Good glory I would love that Lavender wreath. I wish I could make one, because I am all about that. Right now my easter decor consists of just started wheatgrass and a small embroidered “Think Spring” sign with a tulip on it.

Sounds cute, Alison! My Easter decorations are almost nil, but clearly my wish list is abounding. And yes, that wreath is fabulous. 🙂

I have not done a thing! Well, actually that is a lie. I have one cute little bunny plate on my table in the foyer but that is absolutely the only thing! My kids are going to my mom’s to decorate eggs on Saturday so we will have those in a basket but because we aren’t hosting dinner this year, I haven’t made any effort. By the way – love that tulip picture!

I’m with you on the bunny thing! We prefer to decorate for Easter with eggs/nests to symbolise new life and home and we also display some Easter symbols of our faith too. Easter is not in Spring here in Australia, it is our Autumn season, so bunnies and chicks seem a little out of place anyhow:) God bless x
