Kickstart a happier, healthier habit in just 7 days
So many of us are struggling to fall asleep every night or are waking up feeling groggy and unprepared to tackle the day.
The way we use our technology plays a big role.
Did you know that Americans spend more than ten hours a day on their devices?
Or that studies have shown that people who read at night on a screen take longer to fall asleep and have less REM sleep than those who read printed books?
How about the fact that some studies have linked nighttime light exposure to an increase in some types of cancer, diabetes, heart disease, and obesity?
Sometimes what we really need is a catalyst—something to make us change. 😉
We may wish our nighttime routine included a bath and a book instead of a glowing screen, but actually getting ourselves to do it? That's the hard part.
That's where this challenge comes in.
Will you commit to turning off your electronics two hours before bed for 7 nights in a row?
Every evening I’ll send you an email with an invitation to officially shut everything down. Each email will share a different benefit of a screen-free bedtime routine, and we’ll explore not just the effect of media on our sleep but also on ourselves as people.
My goal is that you’ll finish the challenge more determined than ever to use your technology mindfully.
We’ll also have a members-only Facebook group where we can keep each other accountable (but not after 9pm! 😉 ) and cheer each other on. I’ll do a live video at the beginning of the week and again at the end asking y’all how it went!
Participation in the challenge costs $7 (thank you for your support!) and kicks off Sunday, February 25th.
The deadline to sign up is Sunday, March 4 at 6pm, PST.
I hope you'll join if it feels right for you!
Sweet dreams! Erica
